Site News and Updates

• Deceber 15, 2021 -- Added the biography of Boer General Nicolas Smit, the hero of the Battle of Majuba Hill
• November 28,2021 -- Revamped the main page of the history of the Boer war by adding original content and relegating the text borrowed from a 1900s encyclopedia to the second page. Started to standardize navigation.
  
  
• May 21, 2021 -- Made and submitted an xml sitemap to Google.
  
  
• May 18, 2021 -- Forced redirect to https - changed all internal links to https and reloaded - added canonical links to main pages.
• April 2, 2021 -- Added an article about the Battle of Blood River Poort, an interesting battle in the early phase of the Boer War.
• June 5, 2020 -- revamped the page on the Boers
• May 30, 2020 -- Added content to the Map Section
• May 20, 2020 -- Tweaked the About Us page and added a photograph of some grizzled Boer war prisoners. Also reformatted the depthindex and added an image.
• May 8, 2020 -- Completed Phase 1 of a planned overhaul. Changed the site template on most pages. Next will convert to SSI and add new content and images. Also improve the navigation bar.
• May 7, 2020 -- Designed new template for site and began applying it to some pages. Revamped the /photographs/ front page and this update page.
• May 6, 2020 -- Changed the background image. Deleted a javascript for maps that shouldn't have been there. Deleted the robot text that may have been preventing Googlebot.
• May 5, 2020 -- It's been a while! Added some text to the front page. Will need to fix broken layout in the photograph section. Will likely change the entire site template going forward. Will add a contact page.
• November 7, 2017 -- Added a biography of General Hildyard.
• February 19. 2017 -- Added a biography of President Kruger.

• October 17, 2015 -- Converted site to a mobile friendly template. Placed ads on the site.
